Thesis defense and tea party for the students in G30 international program was completed on July 7th, 2026 Tuesday

Here, we are happy to announce that the five undergraduate and two graduate (master course) students in the G30 Biology program (BioSci) completed their graduation thesis defense on July 7th, Tuesday, 2026, at Sakata Hirata Hall in the afternoon. As usual, students presented thesis works (10 min for undergraduate, 15 min for master program) in the big hall with large audience including students of the BioSci Japanese program (mostly master students) and professors. All students experienced 5 min oral examination (discussion). Everybody did great performance, presumably by practicing many times! Discussion were also good, many questions were asked by not only professors but also by G30 students (kouhai). Actually we extended total of 10 min over the original schedule. Those are very constructive discussion with audience. Indeed, they well defended.
After the thesis defense, we had an annual event, a tea party for celebration, at the foyer of 2nd floor of the Sakata Hirata Hall. G30 BioSci undergraduate/graduate students, Japanese lab mates and professors, got together and celebrated their defense. As usual, the third year students prepared really nice original hats for each students. This year, 2nd year students also helped to prepare the hats. Defended students wore the official Nagoya University gowns with hand-made hats, and enjoyed taking celebration photos. The 4th year students came to Nagoya University in year of 2022, right after the COVID has been calmed down. I hope they enjoyed student life in Nagoya University. We are really proud of you all. Good job!
