A new species? I photographed this frog in Germany. I was told that it was an undescribed species from Peru, but I now think its an unusually patterned specimen of D.lamasi.

私はショウジョウバエを研究材料にしています。矢毒蛙の餌には困らないわけです。カルフォルニアで生まれ、11才まで「向こう」にいました。小さい頃から両性爬虫類が好きで、いろんなものを採集しては飼育し、母親を困らせました。大学院在学中はサンゴの飼育（無脊椎動物水槽）に凝ってました。学位取得後は３年間ドイツで生活しましたが、何かを飼う余裕はなく、帰国してから矢毒蛙に興味を持つようになりました。最近のショップは動物園より充実してますよね。ちなみに今のマンションから毎朝インドサイが見れます。
I am a molecular developmental biologist working with Drosophila at Nagoya University in Japan. I started keeping Dendrobatid frogs because I thought I had an easy food source! I have previously lived in the United States and in Germany. Right now I live close to the University and next to the city zoo. If you ever come to visit I can show you some Indian Rhinos from our living room window! My other hobbies are photography, cycling and flyfishing (also work related!).

If you want to learn about dendrobatid frogs, a fast way is to subscribe to a mailing list. Below are some that I belong too.
写真は９０x４５x４５の水槽です。底には中性軽石、ピート、生きた苔を使ってます。水槽、左下、前面から水を吸出し、ろ過材の入ってないエーハイム（古いやつ）を通して、背面上部と水槽右側に水を出してます。最初はコトブキの水中ポンプを軽石の下に埋めてましたが、すぐ異音をだしたり、振動するのでやめました。ポンプが外にあったほうが長い目で管理が簡単だと思います。あと、夏にエーハイムを水の入ったバケツにでも入れて、冷却するつもりです。一番の工夫は背面全部にヘゴ材（木性シダ）の板をシリコンで貼ったことです。背面上部を通したパイプから水が滴り、それで苔やシダ、リシアなどがびっしり繁ってます。水槽右側にも水をだしているのは背面に行く水量が多くなりすぎないようにするためです。そのパイプにはコックが着いてます。ヘゴ材の使用はオランダのvivarium projectsのPeter Muddeから助言されました。彼等の制作するvivariumは全部そうしているそうです。見た目に奇麗だし、蛙の活動面積も増えるわけです。あとライトは90cm用2灯式+60cm用2灯式です。100wの熱帯魚ヒーターが軽石の下の空間に入ってます。前面の茶色の線はラインヒーターで、ガラスの曇りを取るためです。寒い間はこれがないとガラスが曇りっぱなしです。アクリルには不要（害があるかもしれません）。HPの写真のときよりも植物が増えて奇麗になったので、また撮って載せます。今後の課題は夏の冷却です。ライトが多いので、冷房しても暑くなりそうです。いまのところファンはつけてませんが、様子を見て改造していきます。
This is a 90x45x45 fish tank being used as a terrarium. The back wall is fern tree root. Although this is now standard procedure, I first learned it from Peter Mudde of Vivarium Projects in Amsterdam. Water in the terraium is taken from the bottom, goes through an outside cannsiter filter (Eheim) and drips onto the back wall. A 100 watt heater is in the bottom of the tank and the cirrculating water warms the tank evenly. The only problem is that the front panel foggs up in the winter. You can see the heating wire I have put there to de-fogg it. I have a colony of green/black D. auratus in this tank.
