Phylogenetic Tree of Papilio polytes
Fig. 3. The phylogenetic tree of Japanese representative species from
each family of the superfamily Papilionoidea based on the sequences of
the ND5 gene. The tree was constructed by the NJ method. Daimio
tethys and Tagiades trebellius (Hesperioidea: Hesperiidae) were taken as an outgroup. The bootstrap value is shown at each branching point.
The evolutionary distance calculated by Kimurafs (1980) twoparameter
method is indicated.
