However, it may be distinguished from the latter and other species of the genus by the following character: the series of submarginal pattern on hindwings are very large and trapezoidform. Holotype: female, Lushan, Sichuan, 1996, coll. Wang Binghong.

2. Papilio pulcher, sp. nov. (Figs. 3,4) This species is related to P. bianor Cramer, but may be distinguished from the latter and other species of the genus by a series of large triangular mark on both surfaces of hindwings. Holotype: male, Lushan, Sichuan, coll. Mou Guoquan.

3. Papilio angustus, sp. nov. (Figs. 5,6) It is similar to P. memnon heronus Fruhstofer, but the fore wings very narrow and curved at outer margin, and without colour marker on anal zone of hind wings. Holotype: female, Fujian.

4. Papilio memnon f. yunnanensis, f. nov. (Figs. 7,8) This form is similar to f. butlerianus Rotschild, but the anal zone of hind wings white, also similar to f. rhenorina Jardan, but the anal zone of fore wings white. Holotype: female, Yunnan, body broken and without label.

5. Papilio polytes flavolineatus, ssp. nov. (Figs. 9,10) This subspecies distinguished from nominal subspecies by a series of yellowbrown striae on hind wings from the white maculae to submarginal zone. Holotype: female, Nantong, Jiangsu, VII-1995, coll. Hou Xu.

6. Papilio obscuras, sp. nov. (Figs. 11,12) This species resembles P. polytes Linnaeus, but may be distinguished by following characters: smaller size, with some gold-green scales on wing surface, the series of white spot on hind wings obscure. Holotype: female, Lushan, Sichuan, coll. Wang Jinghua.

7. Papilio neocastor, sp. nov. (Figs. 13,14) This species is very similar to P. caster Westwood, but the spots on hind wings in complete series. Also similar to P. mahadevus Moore, but without submarginal spots on dorsal surface of fore wings. Holotype: female, Wuzhishan, Hainan (800 m), V-1995, coll. Mr. Rong.

8. Papilio noblei hoa Fruhstorfer, ssp. rec. nov. (Figs. 15,16) P. noblei noblei was described from Burma and Laos, and Yunnan of China in "Monographia Rhopalocerorum Sinensium", but P. noblei hoa was described from Vietnam and is a new record in Fujian of China. Specimen examined: 1 female, Quanzhou, Fujian, coll. Huang Bingwen.

9. Papilio castor formosanus Rotschild This subspecies was described in Taiwan, but now is found in Yunnan. Specimen examined: 1female, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, VII-1991, coll. Zhou Shigen.

10. Papilio clytia f. panope (Linnaeus) (Figs. 17,18) A known species, but f. panope was not described in "Monographia Rhopalocerorum Sinensium" Specimens examined: 1male, 1female, Dinghushan, Guangdong, VII-1992 coll. Wu Xin-fang; 1male, Guangzhou, 22-IV-1995, coll. Chen Xichang.

11. Pathysa albescens, sp. nov. (Figs. 19,20) This species is similar to P. antiphates (Cramer), but may be distinguished from the latter by wing pattern, especially the median zone and inner median zone of under-surface of hing wing black. Holotype: male, Quanzhou, Fujian, coll. Huang Bingwen.
