To foster young researchers, daily research should be actively implemented in Graduate School of Science and Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences. The GCOE Program supports more than the 21st Century COE Program.
The GCOE Program supports:

The Research Assistant(RA) Program aims at “Fostering Excellent Young Researchers” by providing graduate students with financial support to reduce their financial burden and good circumstances to give themselves into the research, and we expect the respectable completion of their research. We employ eligible PhD students as RA to promote research for the GCOE Program.
With this RA program, we expect the students can build a foundation for their research careers on the world stage.

For young researchers, graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, the Study Abroad Program is to help them present their research at international conferences or visit and discuss with foreign laboratories. It also covers support for attending research courses operated by a diverse organization.
The International Collaboration Research Program helps young researchers, graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, to go abroad. It also invites young foreign researchers to make organic human exchanges as well as collaboration work.
Coordinating with the head office of Nagoya University, we accept excellent foreign students as GCOE Exceptional Foreign Student. Please consult the GCOE office for details.

We invite prominent researchers from home and abroad and hold seminars.
In the GCOE Program, the young researchers who complete prominent research will be rewarded. The word “prominent” here refers to the research theses that appear in the top journals. There is no need for recommendations from others or from the applicants themselves, so we are looking forward to many recommendations.
